oK, nOw ThE nEwS...

I have internet now on the land, with a mobile device... be careful, progress is coming...
As for the power adapter, I found one that can be charged on the battery we have connected with a car lighter, but I still don't know if it will work...
Here comes the news then..
There are new people on the land... another season has  started...
Willi came back with Angela, and Danica came from the  Jesus Freaks community in Duisburg... Miri came back when I was in Porto to see my sister and her twin babies just born...
It's so nice to have Miri around again... I love this sister.

Nuno and Paula from Lisbon also came to visit for a few days...it was really nice to have them with us... you can check some nice pictures from Nuno here...

We are almost finishing the water system! It will make life so much easier now !!! Thanks to Willi...He's an amazing man who loves helping others !

It will come all the way down to the house, the garden and the shower ! Wow, that's progress !

And look at our vegetables...we already ate our own gourgette, broccolli and onions ...and they are so tasty ! Not bad for my first garden without any experience...

O.K, now I go to work and finish digging the canal for the water pipe !

I like how new technologies make things easier... but most of the times they get on my nerves...  not knowing what to do with these things really annoys me...and the time it takes to research and learn new things in order to get things to work... or being constantly dependent on techie people to do the job for you... Somehow I don't like the way we are getting so used to and almost dependent on too much high technology...
My sister gave me her ipod which I really like because I love to listen to music and now I can store a lot in that little thing... so amazing !!!

I was trying to restore it because there was always this message showing up saying something was wrong when I updated it... but now it's asking me to connect to the power adapter, which I don't have ... so, I'm stuck. It's probably an easy thing to solve, but for me who knows little about these things it's totally frustrating...
Then I also got today a wireless stuff for the computer to have internet on the land... but I don't know yet how to install it... I already spent a few hours downloading softwares, trying to connect one way or the other, and nothing...
I just wanted to update my blog with news and answer a bunch of e.mails... but I got stuck with all this now...
Oh well... I better solve it before it gets too late to go to the shops...
I´m frustrated...sorry!
I hope it works to have the internet on the land...even though I might have to go somewhere in the village to charge the computer anyway as we don't have electricity... One step at a time...

More news from the land will come in a while !!! Maybe today, maybe in a few days :-) !!!

Fun was definitely not over... I'm just going to put some more pictures with sub-tittles...They're a bunch, but they are worth it !!!
Enjoy !!!
This is Dane, of course... and yes, that's a snake!!! alive !!!

Jesse making a bench for our table outside with pallet and scrap wood...

They were really determined to dig the canal all the way from the neighbours to fill the tank... and they did it...even under rain !!! It added some more fun for them I guess... I confess that I was at the house during the heavy rain...my Portuguese/African side is too strong in me... but it was warm anyway...it felt a bit like Angolan rain !!! Jesse, who grew up in Kenya kept saying how much this area reminds him of Africa !!! It´s savanna I guess, but oak savanna...

The snake made some company while they were working, and then they let it go! Well done guys!
Here they were bringing a lizzard to see the snake...and you know what?! The lizzard bit the snake...

Jesse was knitting one of his dreads onto one of mine...then we did the same to him...
I love this brother so much...

The Uhlers were missing the waves to surf..so they were trying on bins

Then we had a nice time worshiping God and praying while painting the bins for water...we had fun as well ...

And we also had a nice time praying until late at night around the fire...

It was so much easier to water the garden with all of them...They did a lot while they were here...and they definitely brought a lot of joy ...Thanks you guys !!!

The next day I went to take them to the train station...we decided to explore a bit and go to the river Tagus, in Vila Velha de Rodao, near Castelo Branco...sooo cool !!!

making little sailing ships...

One more hug and picture before Jesse goes to meet his family in Tanzania...Oh I wish to go too !!!

Waiting for the train...

Mishu went as well, because I was going for the weekend to some friend´s wedding party and I wouldn't leave her alone... she behaved, despite the car trip that she doesn't seam to enjoy so much...

PEACE
